Tierz: Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Tierz, a sole proprietorship owned by Warren Francis Brandow V in Utah ("Tierz", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Tierz app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Tierz.

What Tierz is

Tierz is an online dating app. It gives you a score based on the answers, photos and verifications you provide, and matches you with people near you whose scores are close to yours. Scores are an estimate produced by the app, not a judgment of your worth, and we do not promise any particular score, match, date or relationship.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You may have only one account, and it must be about you.

Your information must be true

You agree that everything you enter (including your age, height, weight, income and photos) is accurate and that your photos are of you. Optional verification is handled by our providers: Persona checks your government ID, and Plaid checks your income. If you give false information or try to trick verification, we may lower your score, remove verified marks, or close your account.

Paid features

Some features, such as income verification, cost money. They are sold through Apple's App Store at the price shown before you buy and are governed by Apple's payment and refund terms. Prices may change; a change never affects a purchase you already made.

How you must behave

Tierz has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You may not harass, threaten, scam, impersonate or exploit anyone; post sexual, hateful, violent or illegal content; solicit money; advertise; contact minors; or use bots, scraping or other automated access. You can report and block anyone you are matched with. We review every report within 24 hours and may remove content or accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.

Your safety

We do not run criminal background checks on users, and verification confirms only the specific facts checked. You are responsible for your own interactions. Meet in a public place, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money to someone you met on Tierz.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload. You give Tierz a limited license to store, process and show it as needed to run the app (for example, to work out your score and show your match your first name and verified marks). Our use of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, then Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.

Disclaimers and limits

Tierz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the app. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Apple

If you got Tierz from the App Store, these terms are between you and Tierz, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance, is not responsible for claims about the app, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Utah. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use Tierz after a change means you accept it.
